1. Open the Gmail app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Click Add account
  4. Click Other
  5. Enter your email address
  6. Select IMAP
  7. Enter your password
  8. Enter for the incoming server
  9. Enter for the outgoing server
  10. Done.


  1. Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
  2. Tap Add Account, tap Other, then tap Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, email address, password, and a description for your account.
  4. Tap Next. Mail will try to find the email settings and finish your account setup. If Mail finds your email settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.
  5. Choose IMAP for your new account.
  6. Enter for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. Make sure username is your email & enter the password. Then tap Next
  7. If your email settings are correct, tap Save to finish. If the email settings are incorrect, you’ll be asked to edit them


  1. Launch Outlook
  2. Select File on the top left menu bar
  3. Select the Add Account button in the middle of the screen, then Account Settings
  4. Insert your email address
  5. Select Advanced options, then select Let me set up my account manually  > Connect
  6. This temporary screen will display 
  7. This screen will display the various account options – select IMAP
  8. Server Settings: (Note that some versions of Outlook don’t allow you to adjust server settings at this stage. In these cases, complete the account setup and then check your server settings by going to File > Info > Account Settings dropdown > Server Settings).
  9. Incoming server: add
    • Port 993
    • Encryption method: SSL/TLS
    • Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is unticked
  10. Outgoing server: add
    • Change Port to 465
    • Encryption method: SSL/TLS
  11. Click Connect
  12. Your setup is complete!
